The AGC Education Foundation's June academic calendar is posted below for your reference. New classes like "First Aid/CPR for Spanish Speakers" have been added to our class list. We also are breaking up some of our traditional 1-day computer classes into 2 evening classes. More computer classes with this format will be offered in the coming months. I'd like to direct your attention to the following courses:

Commercial Wood Window Installation Systems June 17 4pm-5pm Seattle AGC Building
Water leakage through the building envelope continues to be one of the major reasons for litigation involving architects. This seminar discusses how architects can limit water infiltration at windows through proper design of the window installation system. First we look at the theory behind the proper design of window installation systems. Then we explore the advantages and disadvantages of different installation techniques. Finally, we discuss how architects can make sure that the specified performance is met. Special emphasis is given to the three major opening types in new construction: Punched Openings, Ribbon/Strip Windows, and Curtain Walls. Although this course is designed for architects, this class is open to anyone interested in the topic. |
